After a successful career in retail management, Shannon was ready to start her own venture. With a proven track record of success as an award-winning retail manager, Shannon set out to change the way brides buy their wedding gowns. She had heard too many stories of brides who had a bad experience when buying their wedding dress. It's only natural, she thought, to have an amazing wedding dress experience, since this is a story, you'll tell time and time again after years and years of being married. Shannon wanted every bride to have a fantastic experience and a wonderful memory. So, when she opened her business, The Gown, she decided right away that each bride should have a private suite to make wonderful memories with their friends and family. |
Her constant education and attention to details has made The Gown the amazing place it is today. Her staff are continually learning, going on training events, and attend designer events to continue to be top fashion experts. Shannon is a girl boss who leads a strong team of women and helps them reach their professional goals. Owning the gown is a fantastic adventure that she truly loves and is passionate about. With the support of her husband of over 25 years, she has been able to take the time to pay attention to all the details and make The Gown a truly amazing place to shop, work and be.
The Gown now resides at 17665 Leslie St., Unit 23 in Newmarket. We were originally founded in Aurora; since then, we have been growing rapidly and have moved 4 locations to accommodate this growth and to be able to help the brides of GTA even more. We are known for our elegant private suites, kind and educated staff, exceptional customer service, and our stunning curated collection. When our brides say “Yes to the dress”, we surprise them with a celebration, a photo op, and a gift.
Although most of our clients consider us a cute neighborhood boutique, we actually have brides from all over the world!
